The union is opposed to AI being used to pen scripts or serve as source material. Truckers are also concerned about their livelihoods as self-driving freight trucks become a looming reality. Despite a vote in the California State Senate to ban driverless vehicles on major highways, Governor Gavin Newsom vetoed the bill, deeming it “unnecessary.”
