GENERATIVE AI WEEK SHEDS LIGHT ON CRUCIAL TECHNOLOGY

During the event, attendees were asked to consider their humanity through an original poem and have experts unpack the science behind generative AI. ChatGPT, for instance, works by generating text word by word and has shown abilities like writing a sonnet in Shakespearean style. But don’t let the seemingly incredible capabilities fool you – generative AI is not magic and doesn’t mean it can do anything.
After all the discussions, generative AI still remains a complex and risky technology. With MIT hosting this week-long event, the goal is to harness generative AI’s potential while highlighting the collaborative collisions that this technology can enable.
