Revolutionary: AI Language Models are Adapting to Kazakh Language!

KAZAKHSTAN EMBARKS ON DIGITAL REVOLUTION FOR KAZAKH LANGUAGE

A groundbreaking initiative is underway in Kazakhstan to adapt existing international large language models (LLM) to the Kazakh language, and it’s all for free! The Til-Qazyna National Scientific and Practical Center is leading the charge, and Deputy Prime Minister Tamara Duisenova is all in for the digitalization of the Kazakh language.

With the goal of creating a state-level database for artificial intelligence (AI) machine learning, this initiative will make language models available to government agencies and domestic companies so they can use them according to their needs. It’s all about making sure the Kazakh language is up to speed in the digital space.

But that’s not all! Around 170,000 users have been trained on language platforms such as Til Kural and Bala Tili, ensuring that the language of Kazakhstan is being developed and integrated into various aspects of life. And let’s not forget about the 400,000-term foundation on Termincom.kz, where specialists are working hard to systematize terms for various industries.

There’s still more to come! Til-Qazyna is gearing up to present several AI projects, including the innovative Qazgramma platform, which will offer a domestic alternative to the well-known Grammarly service. And according to Minister of Science and Higher Education Sayasat Nurbek, the urgent need for the creation of a LLM for the state is clear.
