AI is all over the place, ain’t it? On the TV, in the news, and even on your phone, you can’t escape it! But let me tell you, sweet reader, AI ain’t all new and scary like you might think. In fact, tons of folks already been using it for years! If you’ve ever used Grammarly or asked Alexa for the weather, you’ve used AI, honey! And while it might seem like it’s just good for spellchecking or answering silly questions, the folks in Happy Valley are using it in all sorts of snazzy ways!
Take Mark Dello Stritto, for example, he’s the vice prez of a fancy marketing firm called Blink. He says AI is “just another tool in the tool belt.” Instead of sniffing out cool concepts for TV ads the old fashioned way, he and his team can now use AI to make them pop and sizzle even more! Over at Hello Social Co., they’re using AI to help with copywriting, making itineraries, and even dishing out ideas for graphic design. And don’t even get me started on Spud Marshall! This guy’s using AI tools to whip up some serious magic over with his solo freelancing gigs and even in the art gallery he’s cookin’ up for ArtsFest! Now that’s what I call talent!
But, is there cause for worry about this AI stuff? Dello Stritto reckons not. It can’t create a thing without a human touch, sweet thang. And even Ellen Matis says that while there’s definitely some things to be wary of, AI is here to make life better! And when you chat with some up-and-coming pros, it’s plain as day that AI is the future. At Penn State, they’re even getting students ready for the AI wave with fancy internships and programming to help ‘em get up to speed.
